Do you mean the gray/grey bar behind Firefox?

I mean the dark white bar...
its a big bar down my desktop
when I maximize an appliciation this bar is still there

Go to Settings, Configure. On the Desktop Borders box set Bottom to 0.

Restore and Maximize the window again.

Is this what you mean?
