Logon sound doesn't play at startup T_T

Am sure the file is .wav...

I tried restarting and still won't play..

Someone?

Which Windows version and Emerge Desktop desktop build are you using?

Do you mean the Start Windows and Exit Windows sounds?

windows 7 and the latest emerge desktop

ed 2771

i downloaded the release 4.1 and downloaded the ed 2771 and overwrite the files in the installation directory..

and yes the sound after you log on and the sound as you log off is not playing but the alerts are playing normal

It works perfectly under XP...

Emerge Desktop does not affect any driver or Windows settings.

Can you please switch to the Windows Default sound scheme and check that it works?

Can you play the wav file through the Media Player?

ooow...

it's a .wav and it plays in the preview

it plays in winamp

and yes it plays in media player before i turned it off XD

i use mplayer for all of my videos now and winamp for sounds

i'll check making it in default

i change the sound theme to windows default and it didn't played T_T

I turned win media player back on and it the log on still didn't play..

My start-up plays and all kinds of alerts except for log in and log off

but ow well,

everything is perfect aside from that.

if there's nothing i can do.. it's not that a big deal XD

i think win 7 still has some issues
but at least i got rid of that annoying taskbar

hehe..

but if you find out something about this issue please tell me

Is the start up sound really all that necessary? Smile

If you switch back to explorer, does it work?

the log on sound is not that necessary XD

i'd rather choose not to have a log on sound than seeing that stupid task bar again lol
