As most of you probably know, there is now an emergeDesktop profile on deviantArt: http://emergedesktop.deviantart.com/

What I've been doing with the page so far is favourite-ing any screenshots I've found that have eD running in them, so as to create a body of work that new (and old) users can easily browse to gain inspiration.
I know that crosses over a little with the 'Screenshots of eD in action' thread on here but there do seem to be some desktops on dA that I have never encountered over here, so it seems we have some users that don't frequent the forum.

Furthermore, I have been using the Journal to write a beginners' guide to the different applets.
If I'm honest, it should've been done and dusted by now but other things have popped up that have had to take priority (the last entry was written whilst I was procrastinating instead of doing the decorating...). I'll just keep churning away with that as and when I can, though since I'm not particularly familiar with either emergeCommand or emergeVWM, I could possibly do with some help with them.

Lastly, I have requested that a new section be created for emerge themes, in anticipation of the forthcoming dev build.
So far there's been no response and there may never be one but I figured it was worth asking nonetheless.

I've finally gotten round to updating the eD page on dA and adding the next journal entry.


I could do with a little help when it comes to emergeVWM and emergeCommand as I don't use either of these applets myself, so I don't know what to write about them.
